The TitanX operator manuals tie good cleaning results and a long service life to routine maintenance. This guide sets out the daily, weekly and scheduled care for the Helios 20 and Eos 26, with the kits that cover the 6-month and 1-year service.
Clean floors start before you scrub
- Sweep the area first to prevent streaks.
- Use warm water (up to 140°F) and a recommended commercial floor detergent, mixed at the ratio on the container. Never use granular powder or flammable liquids.
- Overlap each pass by about 2 inches (5 cm) and keep the machine moving to avoid damaging the floor.
- For heavy soil, make one pass with the squeegee raised, let the solution soak for 3 to 5 minutes, then lower the squeegee and scrub again.
- If foam builds up, add a commercial defoamer to the dirty water tank. Foam that reaches the tank filter can damage the suction motor.
- Slow down on slopes, slippery floors and turns.
Daily care, after every use
Disconnect the battery before you start any maintenance.

- Drain the recovery tank, rinse it with clean water and leave the lid open to dry.
- Empty any unused solution and rinse the solution tank.
- Remove the solution filter, clean it and put it back.
- Clear debris from the brush or pad driver, rinse it and check it for wear.
- Wipe the squeegee blades clean and check them for damage.
- Wipe down the machine body and control panel. Never pressure wash the machine or spray water on electrical parts.
- Put the batteries on a full charge.
On the Eos, the daily schedule also includes checking the battery charge level and making sure the vacuum motor is working.
Weekly checks
- Battery terminals: clean the tops of the batteries, look for corrosion and make sure the cables are tight.
- Filters: clean the solution and vacuum filters so water and air flow freely.
- Hoses: look for cracks, leaks and blockages in the solution and vacuum lines.
- Wheels: clear debris from the drive wheels and casters and make sure they turn freely.
- Squeegee: check blade wear.
Monthly checks
- Inspect wiring connections and test the switches.
- Lubricate hinges, pivots, linkages and axles.
- Check brush bristles and replace worn brushes or pads.
- Flip or replace worn squeegee blades.
- On the Eos, also inspect the drive motor, brush motor, wheels and bearings.
Every 6 months or 250 hours
Use the hour meter on the control panel to track service. On the Helios, the semi-annual service covers flushing the solution lines and deep cleaning both tanks, checking suction and cleaning the vacuum motor housing, tightening bolts and brackets, and inspecting and testing the electrical system. On the Eos it covers checking the wiring, testing the safety switches and a battery capacity test.
The 6-Month / 250-Hour Maintenance Kit has the parts for this service: a squeegee blade set, a solution water filter, a recovery tank filter, a drain hose cap, a maintenance guide and a 6-month checklist.

- 6-Month / 250-Hour Maintenance Kit (Eos)
Every year or 500 hours
The Eos schedule calls for a full electrical system inspection once a year. The Helios manual sets hour-based checks for trained service personnel: battery terminals and connections cleaned and checked every 200 hours, and at 500 hours the large wheels checked for wear and the motor brushes in the vacuum, brush and drive motors inspected, then every 100 hours after that. In very dusty conditions, service may be needed more often.
The 1-Year / 500-Hour Maintenance Kit has a front and rear squeegee blade set, a solution water filter, a recovery tank filter, a drain hose cap, a clean water tank drain cap, seals and O-rings, new scrub brushes, an annual maintenance guide and an inspection checklist. The Helios kit has one 20-inch scrub brush, or a pad driver if you add an order note. The Eos kit has two 13-inch brushes, one for each brush head.

Squeegee blades and filters
Each squeegee blade has four edges. When the working edge wears, swap the ends of the blade to use a fresh one, and replace it once all four are worn. How often blades, brushes, pads, filters and batteries need replacing depends on the floor, the hours you run and how the machine is cared for. The maintenance schedule for each machine is on our Operation Training page, and our team can tell you what applies to yours at (888) 488-7175.
The solution filter catches debris before it reaches the solenoid valve and pump, and a clogged filter is one of the causes of low water flow in the Helios troubleshooting guide. If the machine leaves water behind, check for a full recovery tank, a loose drain hose cap, a clogged recovery tank filter, debris in the drain hose seal, worn blades or a wrong blade angle, and a damaged suction hose.
Battery care
- Charge right after every shift. Batteries left discharged for long periods can be damaged.
- Stop and charge when the battery indicator is down to one light.
- Charge in a well-ventilated area away from sparks and open flames, with the dirty water tank cover open.
- Use the charger supplied with the machine. The 12-month battery coverage does not include damage from improper charging, deep discharge, neglect, freezing or non-approved chargers.
- Wear gloves and eye protection when you handle batteries.
The Helios manual gives these storage steps:
- Charge the batteries first, and recharge them every 2 to 3 months while the machine is stored.
- Drain and rinse both tanks.
- Store the machine indoors in a dry place, with the brush and squeegee raised and the dirty water tank cover open.
- In freezing temperatures, follow the antifreeze steps in the manual.
Common mistakes
- Pressure washing the machine or spraying the control panel.
- Using the same bucket for dirty water and fresh solution.
- Leaving the drain hose cap loose, which lets air in and weakens suction.
- Running the batteries flat or leaving them discharged.
- Skipping routine maintenance or fitting non-TitanX parts. Damage from either is not covered by the 3-year limited warranty, and brushes, pads, squeegee blades, hoses and filters count as normal wear items.
